摘要:The ability of cells to overcome cell cycle arrest and adapt to the presence of unrepairable DNA damage is under the control of Polo-like kinases (PLKs) in eukaryotes. 摘要:Work from home (WFH) surged worldwide during the COVID-19 pandemic, then partially receded as the pandemic subsided. Using our Global Survey of Working Arrangements covering dozens of countries, we find that average WFH rates among college-educated employees stabilized after 2022. The average number of WFH days per week is steady at roughly 1 d per week globally from 2023 through early 2025. 摘要:Certain viruses such as tailed bacteriophages and herpes simplex virus package double-stranded DNA into empty procapsids via powerful, ring-shaped molecular motors. High-resolution structures and force measurements on the DNA packaging motor of bacteriophage X29 revealed that its five ATPase subunits coordinate ATP hydrolysis with each other to maintain the proper cyclic sequence of DNA translocation steps about the ring.
