摘要:Insig-1 and Insig-2 are endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins that inhibit lipid synthesis by blocking transport of sterol regulatory element- binding proteins (SREBP-1 and SREBP-2) from ER to Golgi. In the Golgi, SREBPs are processed proteolytically to release their transcription- activating domains, which enhance the synthesis of fatty acids, triglycerides, and cholesterol. 摘要:Desired fertility measures are routinely collected and used by researchers and policy makers, but their self-reported nature raises the possibility of reporting bias. In this paper, we test for the presence of such bias by comparing responses to direct survey questions with indirect questions offering a varying, randomized, degree of confidentiality to respondents in a socioeconomically diverse sample of Nigerian women (N = 6,256). 摘要:To test the hypothesis that an abiotic Earth and its inert atmosphere could form chemically reactive carbon- and nitrogen- containing compounds, we designed a plasma electrochemical setup to mimic lightning- induced electrochemistry under steady- state conditions of the early Earth. 摘要:A kinetic/mechanistic investigation of gaseous propane hydrogenolysis over the single-site heterogeneous polyolefin depolymerization catalysts AlS/ZrNp2 and AlS/HfNp2 (AlS = sulfated alumina, Np = neopentyl), is use to probe intrinsic catalyst properties without the complexities introduced by time- and viscosity-dependent polymer medium effects.
