摘要:The preference for simple explanations, known as the parsimony principle, has long guided the development of scientific theories, hypotheses, and models. Yet recent years have seen a number of successes in employing highly complex models for scientific inquiry (e.g., for 3D protein folding or climate forecasting). Scholars and laypeople presume that this arrangement reflects mirrored preferences such that men desire younger partners and women desire older partners. 摘要:Viral infections are characterized by dispersal from an initial site to secondary locations within the host. How the resultant spatial heterogeneity shapes within- host genetic diversity and viral evolutionary pathways is poorly understood.
