摘要:Organizational justice researchers have demonstrated that employees are more committed to organizations they believe treat them fairly. Drawing on self-verification theory, five studies showed that the positive relationship between procedural justice and commitment was eliminated among those with low self-esteem. 摘要:We examined the distribution of benefits to partners in multipartner alliances by concentrating on dynamics of partner entry and involvement. Testing hypotheses in the Wi-Fi Alliance, we observed heterogeneity of benefits. In particular, the extent of organizational involvement in this alliance enhanced partners' reputation and market success with related product introductions but reduced their productivity. 摘要:Does public ownership create negative consequences for professional service firms by reducing employee incentives? This question was addressed with a panel of advertising agencies. 摘要:Shared leadership refers to a team property whereby leadership is distributed among team members rather than focused on a single designated leader. We examined antecedent conditions that lead to the development of shared leadership and the influence of shared leadership on team performance in a sample of 59 consulting teams. 摘要:We propose that interdependence in a work context determines to what extent work roles are embedded within a broader social system and, further, that uncertainty determines whether work roles can be formalized or whether they emerge through adaptive and proactive behavior. 摘要:I present and test a model of issue crafting, in which individuals shape the meaning of social issues by intentionally using language in public that portrays those issues in ways that differ from the individuals' private understandings of the issues. 摘要:We theorize that in geographically dispersed teams, members' geographic locations are likely to activate faultlines (hypothetical dividing lines that split a group into subgroups) that impair team functioning. In a study of 45 teams comprised of graduate students from 14 schools in ten countries, we found that geographic faultlines heightened conflict and reduced trust.
