摘要:Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia is typically treated empirically with vancomycin, with therapy later tailored based on susceptibility results. However, these tests occur before vancomycin exposure and do not account for adaptation during empiric treatment that can alter S. aureus' susceptibility to first-line drugs. 摘要:How mutations in histone modifying enzymes lead to neurodevelopmental defects is unknown. To address this question, we took advantage of the invariant embryonic lineage and adult nervous system in Caenorhabditis elegans to investigate a double mutant between spr-5/Lsd1/Kdm1a (H3K4me1/2 demethylase) and met-2/Setdb1/Kmt1e (H3K9 methyltransferase). 摘要:Pre-mRNA splicing is essential for eukaryotic gene expression and is achieved through the accurate recognition of exon-intron boundaries. Although nonconventional introns, which do not follow the conventional GT-AG splicing rule, have been identified in several species, these introns are typically rare in any given genome. 摘要:Plants have evolved sophisticated mechanisms to adapt to environmental changes, with root gravitropism playing a pivotal role in nutrient and water acquisition. Our study reveals that SnRK2 kinases (SnRK2.2 and SnRK2.3) are critical regulators of root gravitropism through their direct phosphorylation of the auxin transporter PIN2 at S259. 摘要:Motor imagery (MI) engages neural systems that overlap with actual movement and is widely used in sport and rehabilitation. Yet conflicting findings suggest that experts show either reduced (neural efficiency) or increased (vivid simulation) brain activation during MI. 摘要:To unveil the molecular players that maintain neural stem cell (NSC) homeostasis, we conducted a genetic screen in Drosophila and isolated an uncharacterized gene that we named Inseparable (Insep). Insep is the Drosophila homologue of human IER3IP1, a gene associated with Microcephaly, Epilepsy, and Neonatal Diabetes Syndrome-1 (MEDS-1). 摘要:Hao-Fountain syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder caused by mutations in the deubiquitinating enzyme Ubiquitin-Specific Protease 7 (USP7).
