摘要:Targeting exogenous gene integrations in animals often exhibits low efficiency, limiting the development of gene knock-in models. Theoretically, by screening founder generation individuals based on the cell phenotypes resulting from gene knock-ins and leveraging the high fecundity of animals, heritable descendants with targeted knock-ins can be efficiently generated. 摘要:Our ability to understand and control complex systems of many interacting parts remains limited. A key challenge is that we still do not know how best to describe-and quantify-the many-to-many dynamical interactions that characterize their complexity. To address this limitation, we introduce the mathematical framework of Integrated Information Decomposition, or IID. 摘要:The five-year survival rate for ovarian cancer patients remains below 50%, underscoring the need for innovative therapies. One promising approach involves engineering T cells to specifically target proteins uniquely overexpressed in tumors, thereby controlling tumor growth without toxicity to healthy tissues. 摘要:The obligate intracellular pathogen Coxiella burnetii encodes a deubiquitinase called EmcB that prevents signaling by the host immune sensor Retinoic acid Inducible Gene I (RIG-I). The evolutionary relationship between EmcB and other deubiquitinases is currently unknown. 摘要:Human phospholipid scramblase 1 (PLSCR1) is an interferon-stimulated gene (ISG) that inhibits viral infections through various mechanisms. Here, we identify PLSCR1 as a host restriction factor that inhibits HIV-1 entry by impairing membrane fusion mediated by the envelope glycoprotein (Env).
