摘要:This study examined the role of employees' financial requirements as a moderator of the relationship between their organizational commitment and performance. Hypotheses were tested on two samples of salespeople from different organizations. The results of hierarchical regression analysis indicated stronger relationships between organizational commitment and performance for those with low financial requirements than for those with high requirements.

摘要:This study examined the relationships among strategy, human resources, and performance among National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) basketball teams. Results based on survey data and a widely used performance rating indicated that coaches' preferred strategies influence the characteristics that they look for in recruits. 摘要:This study examined how the ability to monitor an agent's actions and environmental munificence affect compensation contracts in principal-agent dyads. 摘要:This article reports the results of an ex post study of the effects of leveraged buyouts (LBOs) upon the goals, strategy, structure, and performance of firms. Our study was designed to test arguments that can be logically derived from agency theory. We used a survey to collect data on pre- and post-LBO goals, strategy, structure, and productivity for a sample of 214 firms that underwent buyouts between 1986 and 1989. Our results do not enable us to reject hypotheses based upon agency theory.

摘要:The construct of change schema is developed and its possible dimensions explained. Using data from two samples and both quantitative and qualitative methods, we found that locus of control and organizational commitment were related to specific dimensions of the construct.
