摘要:Prior studies of multimarket contact have investigated exploitation rather than exploration activities. We contrast effects of multimarket contact on entry and exit dynamics in these two settings and propose that, although in exploitation, firms seek to optimize multimarket contact based on mutual forbearance benefits, in exploration, firms instead seek to reduce uncertainties through mimetic entry and exit. 摘要:We examined how leader emotional displays affect team performance. We developed and tested the idea that effects of leader displays of anger versus happiness depend on followers' epistemic motivation, which is the desire to develop a thorough understanding of a situation. 摘要:I explore the role of trust in acquisitions of entrepreneurial firms, taking a dyadic view that gives equal attention to buyers and sellers. The two parties have asymmetric views regarding whether their counterparts are trustworthy. 摘要:This article explores why engineering students are committed to counterproductive practices. Student informants' work practices appeared to coincide with lay stereotypes about what good engineers do, and they sought to justify those practices as rational. 摘要:Integrating macro and micro theoretical perspectives, we conducted a meta-analysis examining the role of contextual factors in team diversity research. Using data from 8,757 teams in 39 studies conducted in organizational settings, we examined whether contextual factors at multiple levels, including industry, occupation, and team, influenced the performance outcomes of relations-oriented and task-oriented diversity. 摘要:In this study, we formulated and tested a theory about how heterogeneity among subpopulations affects the degree to which organizations in these subpopulations contribute to and benefit from the overall population's legitimacy.
