摘要:This study integrates resource-based and institutional theory perspectives to examine relationships between the relatedness of chemicals used within the home and target industries of a potential diversifier, target industry regulatory sanctions, and the likelihood of diversification. 摘要:Organizations increasingly face surprises with regularity, yet little is known about how they develop the responses to unexpected events that enable their work to continue. We compare ethnographic data from two types of organizations that regularly deal with surprises, a police SWAT team and film production crews. 摘要:We argue that different types of perceived managerial controls that convey performance standards to subordinates increase the perceived relevance of particular aspects of fairness in organizations. 摘要:This study examines how team temporal diversity-variation in members' time urgency, pacing style, and time perspective-can be effectively managed to maximize team performance. 摘要:This study offers a new theoretical perspective on the unique nature and function of job satisfaction change, or systematic improvement or decline in job satisfaction over time. 摘要:In four studies, we examine implicit voice theories-taken-for-granted beliefs about when and why speaking up at work is risky or inappropriate. In Study 1, interview data from a large corporation suggest that fine-grained implicit theories underlie reluctance to voice even pro-organizational suggestions. 摘要:This study of full-time managers and professionals examined whether variables selected from theories of the psychology of gender as well as identity, boundary, and role theories explained effects of sex on work-to-family conflict and positive spillover. 摘要:We propose that home country network advantages shape firms' foreign expansion. We argue that a social status advantage is transferable from one market to another as a signal of quality but that a brokerage advantage is more context-specific and difficult to transfer. Furthermore, the value of network advantages changes as networks evolve.
