摘要:Scholars sometimes criticize durable regulatory systems for being costly, inefficient, ineffective, and inequitable. 摘要:Regulatory studies assume that citizens can act as regulators to complement or correct failing state and market forms of regulation. Yet, there is a growing literature that shows that in reality citizens may fail to be effective regulators. 摘要:What should rivals do when they see competitors breaking agreed rules within systems of self-regulation? This study investigates compliant behavior among British advertisers to empirically answer this question.
