摘要:A study on conflict resolution strategies of Canadian and Chinese (Peoples Republic of China) executives was conducted. Responses to two types of joint project conflicts-task-related and person-related with potential partners from their own culture or from the other culture-were examined. 摘要:In this study of convergence/divergence of managerial values, four Western-developed measures (Machiavellianism, locus of control, intolerance of ambiguity and dogmatism) and the four dimensions of the Eastern-developed Chinese Value Survey (Confucian dynamism, human-heartedness, integration, and moral discipline) were the measures used. The findings indicate that often times both culture and the business environment interact to create a unique set of managerial values in a country.

摘要:The success of export-led development initiatives in LDCs depends heavily on export diversification. This paper identifies three patterns of performance among Central American firms engaged in non-traditional exports. Each pattern is associated with a distinct strategy: low involvement-low volume-low content, price-cost-volume, and product-service quality oriented. The discussion emphasizes keys to exporter success and priority areas for public policy.

摘要:The study presented here attempted to identify the factors under the control of the organization that may predict expatriate job satisfaction. The results indicate that both job/task and organization characteristics are significantly related to both intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction. The results appear to have both managerial and research implications.

摘要:The stock and bond market reactions to American banks' announcements of their intentions to form Export Trading Companies are investigated. The results are robust to various return-generating model specifications and are consistent with the view that the markets do not believe that U.S. bank Export Trading Companies will be successful.
