摘要:The authors used theoretical models to organize the diverse unemployment literature. and meta-analytic techniques were used to examine the impact of unemployment on worker well-being across 104, empirical studies with 437 effect sizes. Unemployed individuals had lower psychological and physical well-being than did their employed counterparts. 摘要:In the present research, the authors examined the effect of procedural fairness and rewarding leadership style on an important variable for employees: self-esteem. 摘要:A database integrating 90 years of empirical studies reporting intercorrelations among rated job performance dimensions was used to test the hypothesis of a general factor in job performance. 摘要:The authors conducted a 30-year review (1969-1998) of the size of moderating effects of categorical variables as assessed using multiple regression. The median observed effect size (f(2)) is only .002, but 72% of the moderator tests reviewed had power of .80 or greater to detect a targeted effect conventionally defined as small. 摘要:Two studies were conducted investigating the relationship between high-performance work systems (HPWS) and occupational safety. In Study 1, data were obtained from company human resource and safety directors across 138 organizations. 摘要:Hindsight bias for economic developments was studied, with particular focus on the moderating effects of attitudes and causal attributions. Participants (N = 263) rated the likelihood of several economic developments 6 months before and 6 months after the euro introduction in 2002. 摘要:Self-sacrificing behavior of the leader and the extent to which the leader is representative of the group (i.e.. group prototypical) are proposed to interact to influence leadership effectiveness.
