摘要:We address the question of how and why corporate social responsibility (CSR) differs among countries and how and why it changes. Applying two schools of thought in institutional theory, we conceptualize, first, the differences between CSR in the United States and Europe and, second, the recent rise of CSR in Europe. We also delineate the potential of our framework for application to other parts of the global economy.

摘要:Mergers and acquisitions (M&As) and alliances are potential alternative choices for managers. We propose that three dimensions of industry conditions are likely to be influential in such choices: (1) industry demands on firms to make significant commitment, (2) the environmental pressures for flexibility, and (3) the limitations on firm choices stemming from industry concentration and institutional conditions. 摘要:Despite advice to avoid doing so, email senders intentionally and unintentionally communicate emotion. Email characteristics make miscommunication likely, and I argue that receivers often misinterpret work emails as more emotionally negative or neutral than intended. 摘要:We offer the concept of multicommunicating to describe overlapping conversations, an increasingly common occurrence in the technology-enriched workplace. 摘要:Research findings indicate that the feelings and moods individuals experience (i.e., their affect) influence many aspects of cognition and behavior. Extending these findings to entrepreneurship. I suggest that affect influences several aspects of entrepreneurs' cognition and, hence. important elements of the entrepreneurial process. I propose a theoretical framework for understanding the role of affect in key aspects of entrepreneurship (e.g.. opportunity recognition, resource acquisition).
