摘要:Sulfur in nature consists of two abundant stable isotopes, with two more neutrons in the heavy one (S-34) than in the light one (S-32). The two isotopes show similar physicochemical properties and are usually considered an integral system for chemical research in various fields. 摘要:Pressure-induced transformations in an archetypal chalcogenide glass (GeSe2) have been investigated up to 157 GPa by X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Ge and Se K-edge XAS data allowed simultaneous tracking of the correlated local structural and electronic changes at both Ge and Se sites. 摘要:The strange metal phase of correlated electrons materials was described in a recent theory by a model of a Fermi surface coupled a two-dimensional quantum critical bosonic field with a spatially random Yukawa coupling. 摘要:Why are jellyfish round? Animals get their shapes as they develop. After development, however, how animals keep their shapes is less understood. Moon jellies respond to perturbations to body shape, such as being halved or quartered, by reorganizing existing body parts and regaining radial symmetry, i.e., their round shape. 摘要:Aerosols play a major role in the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The behavior of the virus within aerosols is therefore of fundamental importance. On the surface of a SARS-CoV-2 virus, there are about 40 spike proteins, which each have a length of about 20 nm. They are glycosylated trimers, which are highly flexible, due to their structure. 摘要:Autotrophic theories for the origin of metabolism posit that the first cells satisfied their carbon needs from CO2 and were chemolithoautotrophs that obtained their energy and electrons from H2. 摘要:TMC-anti and TMC-syn, the two topological isomers of [FeIV(O)(TMC)(CH3CN)]2+ (TMC = 1,4,8,11- tetramethyl- 1,4,8,11- tetraazacyclotetradecane, or Me4cyclam), differ in the orientations of their FeIV=O units relative to the four methyl groups of the TMC ligand framework.
