摘要:In contrast to prior investigations using between-subjects designs to infer the existence of rigidity in decision behaviors, this research used a within-subject design to directly measure rigidity. We also extended previous examinations by distinguishing between semantic and episodic informational cues. 摘要:In an experiment with 63 recently unemployed professionals, those assigned to write about the thoughts and emotions surrounding their job loss were reemployed more quickly than those who wrote about non-traumatic topics or who did not write at all. Expressive writing appeared to influence individuals' attitudes about their old jobs and about finding new employment rather than their motivation to seek employment.

摘要:A heterogeneous group of 371 men and 361 women provided questionnaire data on 23 job reaction and 24 dispositional variables. Analyses revealed 18 significant differences reflecting traditional gender stereotypes. However, almost all the differences disappeared when sex-related differences in perceived job characteristics, age and tenure, level of education, income, and occupational level were controlled. 摘要:Drawing on related literature and an inductive pilot study, we propose a conceptual framework for the relationship between job rotation and selected career-related variables. A test on 255 employees showed rotation was predicted by career antecedents, such as tenure and performance, and was related to career outcomes, such as salary and promotion, positive affect, and perceptions of skill acquisition and other career benefits. 摘要:This justice-theory-based study of punishment surveyed supervisors and their disciplined subordinates about specific punishment events. Path analysis results suggested that two personality traits-belief in a just world and negative affectivity-were associated with the subordinates' perceptions of the events.
