摘要:This study examined whether female directors lack the necessary experience-based characteristics for board committee membership, or whether there is a systematic sex-based bias against them. 摘要:Using an empirical taxonomy identifying two types of human resource systems, ''control'' and ''commitment,'' this study tested the strategic human resource proposition that specific combinations of policies and practices are useful in predicting differences in performance and turnover across steel ''minimills.'' 摘要:In an exploratory longitudinal study of business school alumni, we investigated changes in employment obligations as perceived by employees. During the first two years of employment, employees came to perceive that they awed less to their employers while seeing their employers as owing them more. 摘要:To explore if, when, and how intentionally corporate officers conceal negative organizational outcomes from shareholders, we used computer-assisted content analysis of over 1,000 president's letters contained in annual reports to shareholders. 摘要:This study reexamined the critical relationship between performance and voluntary turnover. A meta-analysis based on 55 studies and a total sample size of 15,138 supported these conclusions: the negative relationship between performance and turnover is robust and unaffected by unemployment rates and the length of time between measurements of the two variables. This article demonstrates the use of multivariate catastrophe model estimation as a partial answer to that call. 摘要:It is widely held that diversification lowers a firm's unsystematic (business-specific) risk but does not affect its systematic (systemwide) risk. We tested each notion while controlling for other factors that influence risk. 摘要:The effects of sex and gender role on self- and group perceptions of leader emergence were examined. Though women were slightly more likely to emerge as leaders than men, gender role had a stronger effect on emergent leadership than sex. Specifically, androgynous and masculine subjects were the most likely to emerge as leaders.

摘要:A field study of 84 registered nurses and their supervisors revealed that leaders' perceptions of leader-follower attitudinal similarity and follower extraversion were positively related to the quality of leader-follower exchanges. Neither followers' locus of control nor growth need strength was found to be significantly correlated with the quality of the exchange between leaders and followers.
