摘要:We investigated the extent to which venture capitalists' (VCs') perceptions of entrepreneurial passion influence the VCs' investment decisions, We defined entrepreneurial passion as an entrepreneur's intense affective state accompanied by cognitive and behavioral manifestations of high personal value. 摘要:We examine the role of multibusiness corporations in the development of young industries. We propose and find that established firms diversifying into a new industry that owes its birth to a disruptive technological change give birth to corporate children that are both weaker survivors than freestanding start-ups and stronger legitimators of the industry as a whole. 摘要:We examine how firms use the experiential learning of certain supply-side agents-technology solution providers-to overcome technological, organizational, and market-related knowledge hurdles to adopting innovations. 摘要:We use meta-analytical techniques to address three central debates in institutional theory: Is organizational behavior the product of social structure or organizational agency? Does conformity to institutional norms enhance or diminish organizational performance? 摘要:The mutual forbearance hypothesis states that when the same competitors meet in multiple markets, rivalry is deterred. 摘要:Drawing on institutional theory emphasizing translation and discourse, we explore outsider-driven deinstitutionalization through a case study of the abandonment of widespread, taken-for-granted practices of DDT use between 1962 and 1972.
