摘要:In this study, we study a hybrid RDC-DC serial inventory system where the regional distribution center (RDC) replenishes its stock from an outside supplier (OS), while the distribution center (DC) faces random demand and replenishes its stock from the RDC. 摘要:We study production planning in a multi-product setting, in which demand for each product depends on multiple financial assets (such as commodities, market indices, etc). 摘要:Important discretionary tasks such as quality improvement, process compliance, and energy efficiency (EE) require constantly focusing the attention of decision-makers. 摘要:For a slow-moving high-margin product, we demonstrate the viability of an information-based nudging strategy. The motivation to study this problem was because a firm faced availability constraints for one of its slow-moving high-margin products, but the available quantities still exceeded the current demand. 摘要:We study, using a stylized analytical model, an entrepreneur's design of the optimal product menu for crowdfunding together with the optimal choice of the funding target. We find that in contrast to prior literature on crowdfunding, downward quality distortion of the low-quality product in the entrepreneur's product menu under crowdfunding can be higher, lesser or even non-existent than that under traditional selling.
