摘要:We investigate the impact of health information exchange (HIE) use at the visit level on patient outcomes, such as future visit behavior and the number of procedures performed on the patient, and how the effects differ across patient and visit characteristics, for example, whether a patient has chronic conditions and whether a visit involves a hospital switch. 摘要:A firm's product-cost information is increasingly transparent to consumers as the firm itself or third parties publish such information, which reduces consumers' uncertainty for the product's cost. 摘要:In this study, we consider the problem of estimating demand functions using historical sales data. In particular, we study how using aggregate data may result in bias in such estimations. We consider a log-log demand model, and two ways of how the price in the aggregate data is calculated, simple average price or weighted average price. 摘要:We consider the classical appointment scheduling problem that does not have a session length constraint. The decision is to determine job allowances to minimize total expected weighted costs of waiting times of jobs and idle times of the service provider. 摘要:In laboratory experiments, we compare the performance of short-term and long-term contracts in a two-period supplier-buyer dyad with asymmetric cost information. We find that buyers tend to reject offers if the payoff inequality increases from one period to the next. We coin this dynamic form of inequity aversion as ratcheting aversion. 摘要:In this study, we examine whether it is optimal to use electric vehicles (EVs) in the car sharing market and investigate the environmental impact of pulling the EVs from the market. We develop a model consisting of a profit-maximizing car sharing company (CSC) and a population of utility-maximizing customers.
