摘要:Connections between neurons can be mapped by acquiring and analysing electron microscopic brain images. In recent years, this approach has been applied to chunks of brains to reconstruct local connectivity maps that are highly informative1-6, but nevertheless inadequate for understanding brain function more globally. 摘要:A goal of neuroscience is to obtain a causal model of the nervous system. The recently reported whole-brain fly connectome1-3 specifies the synaptic paths by which neurons can affect each other, but not how strongly they do affect each other in vivo.
