摘要:When mRNAs have been transcribed and processed in the nucleus, they are exported to the cytoplasm for translation. This export is mediated by the export receptor heterodimer Mex67-Mtr2 in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae (TAP-p15 in humans)(1,2). 摘要:De novo design of complex protein folds using solely computational means remains a substantial challenge 1 . Here we use a robust deep learning pipeline to design complex folds and soluble analogues of integral membrane proteins. Unique membrane topologies, such as those from G-protein-coupled receptors 2 , are not found in the soluble proteome, and we demonstrate that their structural features can be recapitulated in solution. 摘要:The solid inner core, suspended within the liquid outer core and anchored by gravity, has been inferred to rotate relative to the surface of Earth or change over years to decades based on changes in seismograms from repeating earthquakes and explosions(1,2). 摘要:Glassy polymers are generally stiff and strong yet have limited extensibility(1). By swelling with solvent, glassy polymers can become gels that are soft and weak yet have enhanced extensibility(1-3). The marked changes in properties arise from the solvent increasing free volume between chains while weakening polymer-polymer interactions.
