摘要:Through a behavioral study, we investigate buyers' strategic order forecasting behavior in a multi-period setting under a forecast accuracy-based allocation policy, where the supplier allocates (proportionally) more inventory to the buyer with the better order forecast accuracy in case of scarce supply. 摘要:We model a real-world service center with cross-trained agents serving customer requests that are heterogeneous with respect to complexity and priority levels: High priority requests preempt low priority requests and low-skilled agents can only serve less complex requests, while high skilled agents can serve all requests. 摘要:Motivated by the operational challenges faced by a Regional Blood Bank (RBB) in distributing the blood (and related products) among the hospitals in its service area, we study socially optimal contracting decisions of an RBB serving multiple hospitals. 摘要:We develop a model of oligopoly competition involving innovation effort, market entry and production flexibility under demand uncertainty. Several heterogeneous firms make efforts to develop new prototypes; if they succeed, they hold a shared option to enter a new market under stochastic demand. 摘要:Should brands selling status goods design high-end and low-end products to look the same or different? In this paper, we study how brands make this aesthetic design differentiation decision.
