摘要：Patients' skills, knowledge, and motivation to actively engage in their health care are assessed with the patient activation measure (PAM). The literature on the role of PAM, when patient counseling is coupled with a technology enabled continuity of care intervention, is scant. 摘要：Many firms that practice overbooking are able to adjust capacity prior to the service time. This study proposes an integrated approach for a firm's overbooking and capacity planning. We formulate a static model that simultaneously optimizes the firm's capacity level and overbooking limit. We find that the optimal level of capacity with overbooking can be higher and lower than that without overbooking. 摘要：Managers seek to meet quarterly profit targets because missing a target affects both the stock price and bonuses. To capture how these targets can affect a retailer's procurement decisions, we analyze a periodic-review inventory model with a chance constraint in each period that requires meeting a profit target with a given probability, while maximizing expected profit. 摘要：We consider a random number of strategic customers who compete for a limited stock of products, and decide whether to buy a product at full price now or at a discount price by waiting until the end of the selling season.
