摘要:We consider a firm using presales with two payments-including an upfront deposit and a postponed arrear-to sell a product to time-inconsistent consumers under various return policies. 摘要:In this study, we analyze how customer perceptions of ex ante unfairness affect a service provider that offers a priority service option. Customers differ in their waiting time costs, but that information is private to each customer. 摘要:We report on the findings of five controlled experiments that test the effectiveness of proposed interventions aiming to improve both the process and outcomes of decision making when performing the newsvendor task. We use eye-tracking technology aided by interviews to gain new insights into people's cognitive processes. 摘要:We propose a general modular approach to support decision-makers' response in the early stages of a pandemic with resource expansion, motivated by the shortage of Covid-19-related intensive care units (ICU) capacity in 2020 in Italy.
