摘要：This forum study examines the past and the future of Operations Management (OM) research. First, we investigate the evolution of OM research from 1997 to 2018 by using machine learning tools to analyze all OM papers published in five journals (JOM, MS, M&SOM, POM, and OR), and find that the number of information/financial flow-focused OM research papers has increased steadily over the years. 摘要：We analytically study a value chain consisting of three independent parties: a manufacturer, a retailer, and a sales agent. 摘要：A transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is widely assumed to be an important step along the road to environmental sustainability. However, large-scale adoption of EVs may put electricity grids under critical strain, since peaks in electricity demand are likely to increase radically. 摘要：Product expirations at retail stores erode profits and burden the environment. We investigate whether manufacturers can leverage salesforce compensation design as a waste-reduction tool. We propose a data-driven framework that uses structural econometric modeling and agency theory. 摘要：We consider a supply chain with a supplier selling products to a retailer who is boundedly rational. The retailer's orders are randomly distributed around the optimal order quantity.
