摘要：In a randomised field experiment, we provide suggestions about suitable occupations to long-term unemployed job seekers. The suggestions are automatically generated, integrated in an online job search platform and fed into actual search queries. Effects on 'reaching a cumulative earnings threshold' and 'finding a stable job' are positive, large and are more pronounced for those who are longer unemployed. 摘要：Do capital grants improve microenterprise productivity? We use the lens of a production function to re-examine two previous randomised controlled trials that allocated capital to microenterprises. We find that productivity is higher for treated firms, and accounts for about 20%-30% of the revenue effects of capital grants. 摘要：We implemented a large-scale randomised controlled trial encompassing 900 junior high schools in Ghana, a country with universal secondary school choice, to study whether providing students and parents with information on school characteristics and selection strategies improved outcomes in a centralised school selection mechanism. 摘要：We produce updated rankings of economics journals based on established and new methodologies, and use these rankings to document the spectacular rise of the new society journals in economics. 摘要：A secession movement is an uncertain process that evolves over time. We develop a simple theoretical framework in which regions use news to update their decisions to secede. 摘要：This paper examines how gender-specific application behaviour, firms' hiring practices and flexibility demands relate to the gender earnings gap, using linked data from the German Job Vacancy Survey and administrative records. Women are less likely than men to apply to high-wage firms with high flexibility requirements, although their hiring chances are similar when they do.
