摘要:For estimating crop yield from the yield of sample plots, large plots of 0.01 acres or more are used in some regions and very small plots of 0.0003 acres or less are employed in other regions. 摘要:The author considers all exptl. designs as special cases of 2 fundamental designs, a generalized partially balanced incomplete block design and an intra and intergroup-balanced incomplete block design which is illustrated by an example. A few formulae appropriate to analysis of these 2 types should then serve all exptl. data. When eventually a Dictionary of Designs becomes available experimenters may be able routinely to select the design most appropriate for their purposes.
