摘要:How should public organizations respond to the current ''crisis of trust?'' Outlining a conception of institutional trustworthiness, this article explores the conditions that increase the difficulty of achieving it, suggests a basis for designing organizational relationships that recover it, and broaches the problem of assuring institutional constancy as a critical requirement. Institutional constancy will be considered in greater depth in a forthcoming issue.

摘要:Do municipal bonds sold through competition have lower interest rates for issuers than negotiated sales? Research done in the 1970s and 1980s suggests that, all else equal, interest costs are generally lower for competitively bid municipal bonds compared to negotiated bond sales. 摘要:What role do demands for constancy play in the operations of public agencies! Institutional constancy of agencies and firms is discussed as a concept and an increasingly important political requirement for the operation of hazardous systems in the United States. Situations that increase demand for it are outlined and a basis for analysis and improving constancy is proposed.
