摘要:Using comprehensive data from the global advertising industry from 1995 to 2003, we examined the effects of indirect ties (common clients) on acquirers' choices of partners for mergers and acquisitions and on the performance of the combined organizations. 摘要:This study advances a recategorization perspective to explain how an increasing number of directors have successfully obtained major board appointments and played important roles on boards despite their demographic differences from incumbent directors. 摘要:Based on five studies with a total of 993 married, heterosexual male participants, we found that marriage structure has important implications for attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors related to gender among heterosexual married men in the workplace. Specifically, men in traditional marriages-married to women who are not employed-disfavor women in the workplace and are more likely than the average of all married men to make decisions that prevent the advancement of qualified women. 摘要:This paper identifies the causal symbolic effect of status on the prices organizations charge for their products. I exploit the classification of the chateaux of the Medoc, which sorted 61 wine producers into five growth classes in 1855, as a fixed hierarchical symbol of class status. The classification has defied attempts at revision for more than 150 years.
