摘要:Although network ties are crucial for firm performance, the strategies by which executives actually form ties are relatively unexplored. In this study, we introduce a new construct, tie formation efficiency, and clarify its importance for superior network outcomes. 摘要:This study begins to provide a behavioral view of the media and corporate governance by showing how firms enact largely symbolic governance changes with respect to board independence that essentially protect managerial interests, yet still elicit positive responses from the media. 摘要:We study how analysts' recommendations affect firms' strategies during radical technological shifts. We find, from our study of firms in three industries undergoing technological change, that analysts' recommendations trigger changes in strategic investments during periods of uncertain technological change. 摘要:A foothold is a small position that a firm intentionally establishes within a market in which it does not yet compete. We extend theory on competitive dynamics to examine relationships between competitor analysis and foothold moves. 摘要:This research investigated the role of contemplation, conversation (conceptualized as social contemplation), and explanation in right-wrong decisions. 摘要:We theorized and tested the conditions under which cognitive team diversity is positively related to individual team member creativity. Hierarchical linear modeling results using 316 employees on 68 teams from Chinese companies indicated that a team member's creative self-efficacy moderated the relationship between cognitive team diversity and individual creativity: this relationship was positive only when creative self-efficacy was high. 摘要:Drawing upon prior research on proactive personality and person-environment fit, we examine the congruence effect of leader and follower proactive personality on leader-member exchange (LMX) quality, which in turn influences follower job satisfaction, affective commitment, and job performance.
