摘要:We develop the concept of the distant future as a new way of seeing the future in collective efforts. While a near future is represented in practical terms and concerned with forming expectations and goals under conditions of uncertainty, a distant future is represented in stylized terms and concerned with imagining possibilities under conditions of ambiguity. 摘要:We theorize a career resourcing process that explains how individuals can create a new profession. Using historical archives, we trace the emergence of health services research as a new research profession through the career actions of early practitioners. 摘要:This paper draws on a longitudinal interpretive case study to develop a theoretical model of how actions by people across an organization coevolve strategy and structure in order to realize a mandated radical change. 摘要:We present a new theory that seeks to explain differences in the performance of men and women friendship network brokers-individuals who bridge disconnected friends. 摘要:This study proposes that CEO-CFO language style matching-a form of unconscious verbal mimicry based on function words-can provide insights into social interaction processes between CEOs and CFOs. We argue and empirically verify that high CEO-CFO language style matching reflects CFOs' strong attempts to ingratiate themselves with CEOs. 摘要:The awareness-motivation-capability (AMC) framework instructs firms to be aware of rivals, yet it offers limited guidance on how to profile those who are not yet rivals but stand to become so.
