摘要：We use a novel rich-list dataset to estimate the sensitivity of the location choices of super-rich foreigners to a special tax regime, under which wealthy foreigners are taxed based on their living expenses, rather than their true income and wealth. We are the first to show that, when some Swiss cantons repealed this controversial policy, their stock of super-rich foreigners dropped by 43% as a consequence. 摘要：A meritocratic fairness ideal typically asserts that income inequality is justifiable if it arises from differences in performance rather than mere luck. 摘要：I exploit unusual policy variation in Indonesia to examine how local responses to intergovernmental grants depend on their persistence. A national reform generated permanent increases in the general grant that were larger for less densely populated districts, while hydrocarbon-rich districts experienced transitory shocks to shared resource revenue. 摘要：Many field public goods are provided by a small number of contributors: the 'superstars' of their respective communities. This paper focuses on Wikipedia, one of the largest online volunteering platforms. 摘要：We investigate the relationship between intelligence and prosocial behaviour, using administrative data on cognitive ability, charitable giving, voting and possession of eco-friendly cars for 1.2 million individuals. We find strong positive associations for all three behaviours, which remain when using twin-pair fixed effects to account for confounders. 摘要：Countries around the world are enacting climate policies such as coal phase-outs, aviation taxes and renewable energy support. These policies often overlap with a wider multi-jurisdictional carbon-pricing system like the EU's Emissions Trading System. 摘要：In China, employment in the civil service is perceived as a primary path to leadership roles in government. This paper examines the role of family background in shaping the choice to enter the civil service and investigates the impact of the 2012 anti-corruption campaign on this process. We find that college graduates with cadre parents are more likely to work as a civil servant. 摘要：Are landlocked countries at risk from sea-level rise? We identify a new mechanism where natural disaster shocks influence countries' macroeconomic performance through cross-border trade spillovers.
