摘要:The increasing prevalence of patent infringement litigation in recent decades has imposed significant costs on firms. This paper empirically examines how this legal risk influences a key operational decision: vertical integration. 摘要:Platform firms are increasingly investing in value-added services (VAS), believing these investments in VAS universally contribute to their success. 摘要:Retail stores are an essential sales channel in the economy. What makes them resilient to external shocks? We propose a conceptual framework in which resilience is determined by (a) the intrinsic stability of the customer pool that the store serves and (b) the actions the store implements to cope with external shocks. 摘要:Ambulance offload delays occur when emergency medical service (EMS) personnel are unable to promptly transfer patients to overwhelmed emergency departments. These delays postpone necessary care for the patient and hinder the EMS system from attending to new emergencies.
