摘要：Recognition that welfare states continue to change has fostered debate about the relationship between ideas and policy problems in driving governments towards reform. 摘要：Drawing on a survey of top executives in central governments in 11 European countries (N=5,190), this study explores variations in the extent and scale of managerial autonomy across and within European states. 摘要：Firms across the globe are affected by red tape, but there is little academic research on how country-level institutions shape red tape perceptions. Drawing on institutional theory, we argue that a variety of formal and informal country-level institutions affect perceptions of red tape in the private sector.
