摘要：How does an authoritarian state govern contentious civil society and what are the effects on grassroots mobilization? 摘要：This article makes the case that feedback processes in democratic politicsbetween crime rates, public opinion, and public policycan account for the growth of penal populism in Britain. 摘要：This paper explores the appointment of career diplomats and political appointees to ambassadorial positions. We present models of the strategic interaction of political donors and presidential candidates, which predicts that donations will match the quality of diplomatic posting granted by the candidate.
