摘要:Opacity is an important information-flow security property in the analysis of cyber-physical systems. It captures the plausible deniability of the system's secret behavior in the presence of an intruder that may access the information flow. Existing works on opacity only consider nonmetric systems by assuming that the intruder can always distinguish between two different outputs precisely. In this article, we extend the concept of opacity to systems whose output sets are equipped with metrics....

摘要:A generalized family of adversary robust consensus protocols is proposed and analyzed. These are distributed algorithms for multiagent systems seeking to agree on a common value of a shared variable, even in the presence of faulty or malicious agents, which are updating their local state according to the protocol rules. In particular, we adopt monotone joint-agent interactions, a very general mechanism for processing locally available information and allowing cross-comparisons between state-va...

摘要:The main challenge for adaptive regulation of linear-quadratic systems is the tradeoff between identification and control. An adaptive policy needs to address both the estimation of unknown dynamics parameters (exploration), as well as the regulation of the underlying system (exploitation). To this end, optimism-based methods that bias the identification in favor of optimistic approximations of the true parameter are employed in the literature. A number of asymptotic results have been establis...

摘要:In this article, we investigate the problem of actuator selection for linear dynamical systems. We develop a framework to design a sparse actuator schedule for a given large-scale linear system with guaranteed performance bounds using deterministic polynomial-time and randomized approximately linear-time algorithms. First, we introduce systemic controllability metrics for linear dynamical systems that are monotone and homogeneous with respect to the controllability Gramian. We show that severa...

摘要:We address the problem of classifying trajectories generated by dynamical systems. We consider the model-based approach, which is the classic approach in control theory, and (data-driven) support vector machines, a popular method in the area of machine learning. The analysis points out connections between the two approaches and their relative merits. Examples are given to substantiate the analysis.

摘要:This article studies social optimal control of mean field linear-quadratic-Gaussian models with uncertainty. Specially, the uncertainty is represented by an uncertain drift, which is common for all agents. A robust optimization approach is applied by assuming all agents treat the uncertain drift as an adversarial player. In our model, both dynamics and costs of agents are coupled by mean field terms, and both finite- and infinite-time horizon cases are considered. By examining social functiona...

摘要:This article is concerned with the exponential mean-square stabilization problem for a class of discrete-time strict-feedback nonlinear systems subject to multiplicative noises. The state-dependent multiplicative noise is assumed to occur randomly based on a stochastic variable obeying the Gaussian white distribution. To tackle the difficulties caused by the multiplicative noise, a novel backstepping-based control framework is developed to design both the virtual control laws and the actual co...

摘要:One of the main problems in the application of the theory of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals is the construction of corresponding Lyapunov matrices. Recently, it was noted that systems with distributed delay and exponential kernel may be rewritten by the introduction of auxiliary variables as systems with one delay. A suggestion was made that one can use the Lyapunov matrix of the latter system to obtain the Lyapunov matrix of the original system. In this article, we establish precise relation...

摘要:In this article, we investigate an optimal output consensus problem for heterogeneous uncertain nonlinear multiagent systems. The considered agents are described by high-order nonlinear dynamics subject to both static and dynamic uncertainties. A two-step design, comprising sequential constructions of optimal signal generator and distributed partial stabilization feedback controller, is developed to overcome the difficulties brought by nonlinearities, uncertainties, and optimal requirements. T...

摘要:We investigate a linear-quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) control and sensing codesign problem, where one jointly designs sensing and control policies. We focus on the realistic case where the sensing design is selected among a finite set of available sensors, where each sensor is associated with a different cost (e.g., power consumption). We consider two dual problem instances: sensing-constrained LQG control, where one maximizes a control performance subject to a sensor cost budget, and minimum-sensi...
