摘要:Optimization approaches for planning and routing of humanitarian field operations have been studied intensively. Yet, their adoption in practice remains scant. 摘要:We examine inventory decisions in a multiperiod newsvendor model. In particular, we analyze the impact of budget cycles in a behavioral setting. We derive optimal rational decisions and characterize the behavioral decision-making process using a short-sightedness factor. We test the aforementioned effect in a laboratory environment. 摘要:Product proliferation and changes in demand require that retailers regularly determine how items should be allocated to retail shelves. The existing shelf-space literature mainly deals with regular retail shelves onto which customers only have a frontal perspective. 摘要:Using laboratory experiments, we study how communication media affect cooperation in a supply chain when the buyer has private information about the end-customer demand.
