摘要:This study used Monte Carlo simulation to examine the increase in accuracy resulting from 2 statistical refinements of the interactive Schmidt-Hunter procedures for meta-analysis: the use of the mean correlation instead of individual correlations in the estimation of sampling error variance, and a procedure that takes into account the nonlinear nature of the range-restriction correction. 摘要:One hundred and twenty police recruits (probationer constables) being trained at the Metropolitan Police Training Centre in Hendon, England, participated in 1 of 2 occupational simulations, either nonstressful. Twenty of the recruits in each condition were active participants in the event, whereas the other 40 were observers. 摘要:Recruiters' phenomenological perceptions of biodata in resumes were examined along with their use of biodata for making applicant screening decisions. The thesis was that biodata were interpreted as indicating abilities and other attributes. Three complementary studies were conducted with 344 recruiters from 28 companies.
