摘要:This study investigated the convergent validity of Rumelt's categorical classification of types of business diversification across different data sources and variations from Rumelt's method. The study also assessed convergent and predictive validity of Rumelt's classification and continuous measures of diversification. 摘要:This study challenges the common assumption that retrospective accounts of business strategy are reliable and valid. Chief executives reported their firms' current strategies, and two years later, they reported their firms' strategies of two years earlier. 摘要:The study involved analyses of incidents described from the perspective of the targets of influence attempts. We coded influence behavior in the incidents into nine tactics and classified outcomes as commitment, compliance, or resistance. The inquiry concerned whether such patterns vary according to the contextual properties of facility size, skill level, and profit-making orientation. 摘要:This investigation examined police officers' responses to a change from a forward rotating 8-hour-shift schedule to a 12-hour compressed shift schedule. As predicted, significant improvements were observed in the areas of schedule-related interference with personal activities, work-schedule attitudes, general affect, and stress and fatigue. In addition, organizational effectiveness improved, but general work attitudes remained unchanged.

摘要:This study examined the relationship between the demography of top management teams and corporate strategic change, measured as absolute change in diversification level, within a sample of Fortune 500 companies.
