摘要:Methods for generalized linear models are extended to provide estimates of location and variance parameters for mixed models fitted to binomial data formed by classifying samples from an underlying normal distribution. The method estimates the parameters directly on the underlying scale. For a balanced one-way random effects model, the variance estimator simplifies to the usual analysis of variance one. The estimation of variances and the prediction of random effects for binomial traits is req...

摘要:Additivity and interaction are defined for a 3-component mixture experiment, and studied both for polynomial models and factorial models. The notion of the blandness of a component is introduced. Linear blending is equivalent to the combination of no interaction and the blandness of all 3 components.

摘要:The analysis of moment structural models has become an important tool of investigation in behavioral, educational and economic studies. The chi-squared large-sample test is routinely employed to assess the goodness of fit of the model considered. To invoke the standard asymptotic distribution theory certain regularity conditions have to be met. The case where the population value of the parameter vector is a boundary point of the feasible region is considered. In this case the asymptotic distr...

摘要:The maximum likelihood estimates of the parent-child interclass correlation and other parameters from familial data when the families have unequal numbers of offspring is given. Also given are 2 alternative sets of estimates which are easier to compute than the maximum likelihood estimates. Using these estimates, a test for the interclass correlation to be 0 requires only the ordinary Student''s t-distribution. Similarly other tests use only known distributions.
