摘要：We analyze whether cross-national distance between professional money managers and the positions they take in foreign markets affects investment performance. Out of four dimensions of cross-national distance (geography, culture, business climate, and industry), we find that only cultural distance inversely relates to portfolio performance. 摘要：We revisit the empirical origins of a popular research topic: the phenomenon of early and rapid internationalization. By means of a qualitative case study, we re-examine the samples of firms used in two of the seminal studies on 'born globals' and 'international new ventures'.
