摘要:In competitive resource allocation formulations, multiple agents compete over different contests by committing their limited resources to them. For these settings, contest games offer a game-theoretic foundation to analyze how players can efficiently invest their resources. In this class of games, the resulting behavior can be affected by external interactions among the players. In particular, players may be able to make coalitions that allow transferring resources among them, seeking to impro...

摘要:This article focuses on the optimal H-2 controller design for compartmental systems, with the aim of enhancing system robustness while maintaining the law of mass conservation. Through a novel problem transformation, we establish that the original problem is equivalent to a new nonconvex optimization problem with a closed polyhedral constraint. Existing works have developed various first-order methods to tackle inequality constraints. However, they often lack convergence guarantees in nonconve...

摘要:We study resilient quantized consensus in multiagent systems, where some agents may malfunction. The network consists of agents taking integer-valued states, and the agents' communication is subject to asynchronous updates and time delays. We utilize the quantized weighted mean-subsequence-reduced algorithm where agents communicate with others through multihop relays. We prove necessary and sufficient conditions for our algorithm to achieve the objective under the malicious and Byzantine attac...

摘要:This article proposes a scalable, matrix-free approach to kernel-based regularization for finite impulse response estimation. Our methodology is based on Bayesian optimization, a gradient-free global optimization strategy that can handle noisy objective function evaluations and is suitable for indirect or stochastic hyperparameter estimation. A key assumption is that the kernel function only has a small number of parameters and that matrix-vector products with the kernel matrix are inexpensive...
