摘要：This paper examines the optimal design of contests in the presence of negative prizes and establishes the optimality of a modified all-pay auction with entry fee and reserve. The entry fee always equals the contestants' liability, and the reserve is weakly higher than in contests without negative prizes. 摘要：Does agglomeration within a building and/or neighborhood enhance or weaken property value? The valuation impact is unclear ex ante, given that agglomeration tradesoff enhanced productivity at the expense of a more concentrated tenant base. We find that a value premium exists only when agglomeration at both the building and neighborhood levels consists of firms in the same industry. 摘要：We propose an approach to model assortment optimization problems based on two observations we made from customer browsing history on Taobao. First, most customers consider very few items (no more than five) before purchasing. Second, there exists a sorting of items so that most customer consideration sets are contained in small intervals in this sorting. 摘要：We test how effective a human-algorithm interaction is at stopping users from overdrawing their bank accounts. We use a randomized field experiment and draw our sample from users of a large personal financial management platform operating in the United States and Canada.
