  摘要：We describe the Chow ring with rational coefficients of (M) over bar (0,1)(P-n, d) as the subring of invariants of a ring B*((M) over bar (0,1)(P-n, d); Q), relative to the action of the group of symmetries S-d. We compute B*((M) over bar (0,1)(P-n, d); Q) by following a sequence of intermediate spaces for (M) over bar (0,1)(P-n, d).

  摘要：We construct two new G-equivariant rings: K(X, G), called the stringy K-theory of the G-variety X, and H (X,G), called the stringy cohomology of the G-variety X, for any smooth, projective variety X with an action of a finite group G. For a smooth Deligne-Mumford stack, we also construct a new ring K-orb(X) called the full orbifold K-theory of X.   摘要：Let T-n be the kernel of the natural map Out( F-n). GL(n)( Z). We use combinatorial Morse theory to prove that Tn has an Eilenberg-MacLane space which is ( 2n - 4)- dimensional and that H2n-4( T-n, Z) is not finitely generated ( n >= 3). In particular, this shows that the cohomological dimension of Tn is equal to 2n-4 and recovers the result of Krstic-McCool that T-3 is not finitely presented. We also give a new proof of the fact, due to Magnus, that T-n is finitely generated.

  摘要：In this paper we obtain estimates for certain transcendence measures of an entire function f. Using these estimates, we prove Bernstein, doubling and Markov inequalities for a polynomial P(z,w) in C-2 along the graph of f. These inequalities provide, in turn, estimates for the number of zeros of the function P(z,f(z)) in the disk of radius r, in terms of the degree of P and of r.   摘要：Lech proved in 1953 that the set of zeroes of a linear recurrence sequence in a field of characteristic 0 is the union of a finite set and finitely many infinite arithmetic progressions.   摘要：We characterize Hopf spaces with finitely generated cohomology as an algebra over the Steenrod algebra. We deconstruct the original space into an H-space Y with finite mod p cohomology and a finite number of p-torsion Eilenberg-Mac Lane spaces. We give a precise description of homotopy commutative H-spaces in this setting.
