摘要:We consider the question of extending a smooth homotopy coherent finite cyclic group action on the boundary of a smooth 4-manifold to its interior. As a result, we prove that Dehn twists along any Seifert homology sphere, except the 3-sphere, on their simply connected positive-definite fillings are infinite order exotic.

摘要:We consider the eigenvalues of the Dirichlet and Neumann Laplacians on a bounded domain with Lipschitz boundary and prove two-term asymptotics for their Riesz means of arbitrary positive order. Moreover, when the underlying domain is convex, we obtain universal, non-asymptotic bounds that correctly reproduce the two leading terms in the asymptotics and depend on the domain only through simple geometric characteristics. 摘要:In this second part we prove that, if G is one of the groups PSL2(q) with q > 5 and q-5 (mod 24) or q-13 (mod 24), then the fundamental group of every acyclic 2dimensional, fixed point free and finite G-complex admits a nontrivial representation in a unitary group U(m). This completes the proof of the following result: every action of a finite group on a finite and contractible 2-complex has a fixed point.

摘要:Conformal dimension is a fundamental invariant of metric spaces, particularly suited to the study of self-similar spaces, such as spaces with expanding self-coverings (e.g., Julia sets of complex rational functions). 摘要:Determinacy axioms are mathematical principles which assert that various infinite games are determined. In this article, we prove three general meta-theorems on the logical strength of determinacy axioms. 摘要:We show that the infinite staircases which arise in the ellipsoid embedding functions of rigid del Pezzo surfaces (with their monotone symplectic forms) can be entirely explained in terms of rational sesquicuspidal symplectic curves. Moreover, we show that these curves can all be realized algebraically, giving various new families of algebraic curves with one cusp singularity.
