摘要：Until recently, only the Dirichlet class of distributions was available to describe compositional data, but now there is an alternative more flexible class of logistic normal distributions. To choose between these 2 classes requires methods for testing separate families of distributions, but application of the methods described in the literature involves extremely tedious calculation. A conceptually straightforward and computationally simpler method is introduced and illustrated.

摘要：A general purpose unequal probability without replacement sampling plan with fixed sample size is presented. In contrast to existing plans, this scheme keeps the sample size fixed and lets the population units enter the sample 1 at a time through a carefully designed random mechanism. All high-order inclusion probabilities are easily computed.
