摘要:Several federal agencies generate forecasts of future economic performance. How accurate are these projections? The article compares actual and projected outcomes for four macroeconomic indicators across three federal agencies. The bias and efficiency of the forecasts are estimated using tests drawn from the macroeconomic literature on private forecast performance, and some alternative explanations for observed bias are considered. 摘要:This article examines the impact of street-level bureaucrats on the implementation of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families policies in the State of Michigan. 摘要:This study explores the relationship between organizational red tape and work alienation. While bureaucratic controls have long been considered sources of worker detachment, the relationship between red tape and managerial alienation has not been explicitly tested.
