摘要:In this article we describe in detail the Bayesian perspective on statistical inference and demonstrate that it provides a more principled approach to modeling public administration data. 摘要:The research on representative bureaucracy investigates whether higher levels of representation within public agencies affect policy outcomes. We expand this line of inquiry by examining the effect of symbolic representation on the clients' perceptions of the vocational rehabilitation program administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs. 摘要:Government preference for military veterans in hiring, a means to honor them for their service and sacrifices, potentially conflicts with other values of the public service, including its diversity and quality.
