摘要:We study the effects associated with overconfidence in distribution channels, where overconfidence is defined as a decision maker's cognitive bias in perceiving the expected outcome of an uncertain event as more certain than it likely is. Although overconfidence bias always leads to a lower expected profit for a centralized channel, we find that overconfidence can in fact enhance the performance of a decentralized channel comprising one overconfident manufacturer and retailer. 摘要:This study models a multi-player environment consisting of a grid operator responsible for meeting electricity demands, a photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer, customers who might install (solar) PV systems, and a regulator who must set an optimal feed-in tariff (FIT). The grid operator must meet exogenous electricity demand and also buy back all electricity (produced by PV systems) at the FIT set by the regulator. 摘要:This paper studies how to design service outsourcing contracts to ensure fast, quality services from an independent service provider. The outsourcer does not have perfect information about the service provider's capacity cost (i.e., cost of providing fast service) and quality cost (i.e., cost of achieving a high quality level). 摘要:This study investigates a novel mechanism-multiple-winner award rules-that are widely used in e-procurement auctions and crowdsourcing sites.
