摘要:State estimate of traffic flow of a freeway segment is considered by using the method of boundary observer design. The observer control and measurements are all located at the boundaries. The nonequilibrium traffic flow dynamics are modeled as a Markov jump linear hyperbolic system with phase transitions. Based on the Lyapunov techniques, the sufficient conditions of matrix inequalities are derived for the exponentially mean-square static as well as the dynamic boundary observer design. Using ...

摘要:A model is proposed for a class of asynchronous sample-and-hold operators that is relevant to the analysis of embedded and networked systems. The model is parametrized by characteristics of the corresponding time-varying input-output delay. Uncertainty in the relationship between the timing of zero-order-hold update events at the output and the possibly aperiodic sampling events at the input means that the delay does not always reset to a fixed value. This is distinct from the well-studied syn...

摘要:We study gradient methods for solving distributed convex optimization problems over a network when the communication bandwidth between the nodes is limited, and so information that is exchanged between the nodes must be quantized. This imperfect communication poses a fundamental challenge, and if not properly accounted for may prevent the convergence of these algorithms. Our first contribution in this article is to propose a modified consensus-based gradient method for solving such problems us...

摘要:A novel and original distributed reputation mechanism is here proposed for a class of networked systems characterized by two distinct groups of nodes: user agents and service providers (servers/resources). The proposed methodology is in charge of intercepting those resources that have the highest quality of service (QoS) on the basis of their reputation (trust) shared among agents. Such a reputation may change over the time mainly influenced by changing performance indexes and other events. As...

摘要:This article focuses on the distributed static estimation problem. A belief propagation (BP) based estimation algorithm is studied for its convergence and accuracy. More precisely, we give conditions under which the BP-based distributed estimator is guaranteed to converge and we give concrete characterizations for its accuracy. Our results reveal new insights and properties of this distributed algorithm, leading to better theoretical understanding of static distributed state estimation and new...

摘要:This article studies delay compensation in consensus control under undirected graphs via output feedback. The dynamics of each node involved in the network is subject to an unknown bounded actuator delay. A transport partial differential equation is employed to model the dynamics of the delay state, and a filter with adaptive control gains is proposed using the available relative output information of neighboring nodes. Based on the state of the filter, the estimation delay state, and the dela...

摘要:In this article, an anti-disturbance control design is presented for nonlinear systems based on a hybrid disturbance estimation scheme. This scheme features the capability of making full use of the incomplete knowledge on disturbance dynamics. By embedding the known information, the disturbance interval observer is developed to generate boundaries to cover individually each element of external disturbances. Through synthesizing a tangent barrier Lyapunov function-based estimation switching mec...
